It actually annoys me how flying pokemon can't take you anywhere unless they know the move fly... -_-
Trainer: Charizard I need to go back to the Pokemon centre to restore everyone's HP. Come on lets go.
Charizard: ....
Trainer: Come on lets go! *Climbs onto back.* Why can't you fly? You have wings.
Charizard: ..............
Trainer: *sigh* Ok heres the HM Fly *Charizard learned Fly* Now will you-
*Charizard fly off suddenly*
Trainer: JESUS CHRIST SLOW DOWN!!!!
...Could you imagine that in real life?
Me: "Yeah, I'd like to fly to Australia plz!"
Clerk: "Have you traveled there before?"
Me: :...Umm, no."
Clerk: "Well, then you can't fly there... You'll have to surf there first, or something..."
Me: ...."WTF?"
Oh god that wud be a nightmare! However I think in real life we wudnt have those restrictions and our flying pokemon wouldnt need to learn HOW TO FLY!
Me: If she can surf there why can't she fly?
Clerk: Cuz she just can't.
